Brown Pelican

The Brown Pelican, depicted on a branch of Red Mangrove tree, is a stately and elegant example of John James Audubon’s skill as an illustrator.

John James Audubon painted the Brown Pelican while he was in Key West, Florida in 1832. This is a classic image that is equally appropriate in a beach house near the coast, or inland over a fireplace.
